Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana), Seville
(4.3/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Stop for a photo op on Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana), an elegant bridge connecting the city center with the Triana district across the Guadalquivir River. Although a rustic pontoon bridge originally spanned the river here, the structure was rebuilt during the reign of Isabel II in the 19th century. As you cross the bridge, spot the Golden Tower and the la Maestranza bull-fighting stadium from here. Cafes and sites that offer nightlife cluster around the bridge on either side. • You have to cross this bridge, you'll discover the other side of Sevilla, a beautiful barrio called Triana with its colourful houses and a multitude of fish restaurants
  • The bridge of Isabel II, which connects downtown with the Triana district, is a must-visit place. Firstly, from the bridge great views of the historic centre of Seville may have. Profile of the ancient city are perfectly seen from the bridge and you can see really beautiful prints. The bridge, also chosen by brotherhoods of Triana to go to the city during Easter week. On the other hand, I strongly recommend a visit to the chapel of the Virgen del Carmen, which is next to the Triana market. In short, I love the bridge and I recommend it to all those who visit Seville.

  • We arrived along the Guadalquivir River to the bridge of Isabel II. We decided to sit on the banks of the River below, to look at it and see the amount of people that crossed it. It is an indispensable site.

  • Charming area of Old Sevilla. It was 1 of my favorite areas during our visit. Very nice market too. Right at the base of the bridge.
  • Nice view of the river and the Seville skyline. There are a couple good restaurants nearby as well as the Castillo de San Jorge museum.
  • Beautiful bridge that connects Triana to the more touristy part of Sevilla.
  • Pretty spot. Takes you over to the Triana neighborhood from the old downtown/Cathedral area. There's a good market (mercado) right beside the bridge on the Triana side - a good place to get a cold drink and/or a snack.
  • This is one of the most beautiful sights in all of Sevilla. I do not take saying so lightly, as Sevilla is gorgeous! Take the time to visit the bridge at night. The surrounding area and paths alongside the shoreline provide some of the best ambiance you can get in the city. Wouldn't trade seeing this for anything!
