If you visit the Alcazar you will exit into the Plaza. As others have said it is made for pictures because the building surrounding it are all white with yellow trim which creates a great setting. Sec...  more »

Through an arch next to the Cathedral entered a courtyard with orange trees and facades of houses a on all sides, almost like the parade ground of a barracks. Across the pavement to fund saw another large door that went many people and is it agrees that this is the point of exit of the visit to the Reales Alcazares. The striking of this place is its structure and arches, as well as being on the inside of the walls. In the arches, faithful to its superstitious tradition here are images of virgins and Christian crosses for prayers and others. The coolness of the shade and tranquility of being a place of residence and visit, without the Netherlands occupied by restaurants or bars, make it a quiet corner within the maelstrom of tourists who crowd the area.

In the old town of Seville, next to the Reales Alcazares, is place in the countless walks around the city, to immerse us in the beautiful district of Santa Cruz. It is believed that its name comes, flags that unfolded around the courtyard. to honor the visit of famous people to the Alcázar. Previously there was a fountain in the center of the square, surrounded by beautiful buildings of Sevillian style, and whitewashed white facades, the courtyard gets out of the Reales Alcazares, and is surrounded by fragrant orange groves, that you wrap with your smell orange blossom in spring. It has stunning views of the Giralda, and the walls of the city (nice photo from the Arch of the Jewish Street). Visit inexcusable.

Where to stay in Seville

Seville's flat, grid-like city center makes it one of Spain's most walkable cities. While no part of the center is more than a 15-minute walk away, you might enjoy staying on one of the many picturesque cobblestone streets leading off from the famous Cathedral in Plaza España. Boutique hotels and historical apartment rentals intermix with the old quarter's tapa bars and Andalusian storefronts. Nearby, Barrio Santa Cruz is a bit quieter than the main plaza but still boasts the city's sought-after old-world charm. Across the river is the Triana neighborhood, where a lack of heavy tourism has preserved the strong local scene in this mainly residential area full of traditional restaurants and corner bars.
