  • Before the visit download tabs of children (8_12 years) tour of the website of the Museum. Children will have much fun looking for paintings and sculptures that were on the cards and reading the explanations. The Murillo is impressive. A great learning and flee from the outside heat way. Highly recommended.

  • Museum of fine arts seeks to in General what is on the walls, fine pearls, the majestic works of the great masters. There are Zurbaran, Murillo, Valdés Leal, in a collection that focuses on Baroque art of the 17th century, but it also has significant works from other periods. But if we seek, the Pearl, which immediately impresses us is the oyster. The building that houses these monumental works. This is old convent adapted, with gorgeous fretwork tile on the walls, an exceptional wood lining the corridors of the Court, vaults of the old chapel, beautiful, masterful, lining an original Baroque porch, imposing staircases. Beautiful works in a lovely home.

  • Wonderful building, worth going just to stroll through its courtyards and the specular Sala 5. The art itself lacks a little variety, and there are few real show stoppers, but there was plenty of interesting and engagingly presented religious art. A small exhibition about engravings of Seville had a lot of interesting work, and was a window into the history of the city. The art fair outside on a Sunday was a perfect accompaniment, really setting off the attractive square on which the museum is situated
  • Excellent collection of impressive pieces from the 1400s onwards. Entry free, but have €1 handy for the bag lockers. Good descriptions of artists available in Spanish around the building, but buy a €3 guide if you don't speak the language. Beautiful architecture too.
  • Beautiful setting, calm, relaxed and free for Euro citizens. Well worth a visit. Lockers are free. Thinking of going late to see the building and courtyards lit.
  • A very interesting collection from the 15th to 17th centuries, and made all the more poignant here as the collection concentrates on masters connected with the Sevillian school. Even if art is not your thing its worth the €1.50 entrance fee to take a look at the building and its courtyards. When you leave, take time to stroll through the small park outside where lesser-known artists and students gather to sell their (surprisingly good) paintings and sculptures.
  • Very nice. Lots of art. Too me a while to find the bathroom through

Where to stay in Seville

Seville's flat, grid-like city center makes it one of Spain's most walkable cities. While no part of the center is more than a 15-minute walk away, you might enjoy staying on one of the many picturesque cobblestone streets leading off from the famous Cathedral in Plaza España. Boutique hotels and historical apartment rentals intermix with the old quarter's tapa bars and Andalusian storefronts. Nearby, Barrio Santa Cruz is a bit quieter than the main plaza but still boasts the city's sought-after old-world charm. Across the river is the Triana neighborhood, where a lack of heavy tourism has preserved the strong local scene in this mainly residential area full of traditional restaurants and corner bars.
