Tucked away in the Plaza Spain the only place open to the public that allows you to know the dimensions of the building. Already as Museum is interesting and you can see curious objects from the military history of Spain.

Finding ourselves in the spectacular Spanish Spain we note this Army Museum, and we decide to enter since free admission. (Only open in the mornings and Sundays are closed} This is a museum that I thought small but really not that much. There are two floors plus a mezzanine. You will find a little of everything to military theme. It starts from collections of toy soldiers. flags, military clothes, model ships, miniature reconstructions of fortifications, bombs, swords, rifles, medical equipment, radio equipment. I mean, if I am passionate for the theme won't be disappointed. To me it made me crazy, I like swords, but here a few and not processed (those from battle and not those from parade}. But in my case it was a quick visit,. Metal detectors at the entrance. Oddly there are no bathrooms and no water distributors. {bathrooms are cmq in the Park} It struck me that there were so many people to draw subjects in the Museum, at least a dozen. Feels really good and beautiful designs! If the review was helpful, click on THANKS iPACK

The Museum historical military in Seville, as the rest of the military museums in our country, is much more than a collection of weapons. There are, of course, and some excellent collections that not defraud the best amateur form to them; but this museum also has parts that have to do with the development of cartography, communications, engineering, medicine or railways. (E) history: steeped in history, and many stories, the army itself, our country and the city of Seville (taking of the city by the armies of Fernando III el Santo; when it was the gateway to Europe for America, when it housed the leading industrial activities of the moment in the arsenal of artillery,... and even peculiar memories of famous people from the town). History told through objects, instruments and symbols (flags, uniforms, decorations), and supported by outstanding samples of model scale (dioramas, scale models, mannequins, and impressive collections of precious "tin soldiers"). Located inside of which is probably the most beautiful monumental Seville, Plaza of Spain. And, though it is closed on Sundays, it is the only Museum in the city which opens Monday, which ensures the cultural offerings that day many visitors.

  • I've almost missed this place on astonishing 2.036 m2. And there is only one rather small door hiding this pearl. Impressing things are hidden in the basement. Really the greatest find in the city.
  • I don't think most people that visit the plaza know that this museum is here and it is very interesting.
  • A beautiful building an plaza. Probably the second most amazing thing to see in Seville after the cathedral.
  • Museum with many exhibits. Recommended his visit. I missed somewhere missing map/guide.

  • Free entrance. By the Plaza of Spain. At the exit, if you want, you can leave a donation for the maintenance of the Museum. It has real treasures and curiosities. Since the birth of the flag, creation of uniforms, replica, etc.

Where to stay in Seville

Seville's flat, grid-like city center makes it one of Spain's most walkable cities. While no part of the center is more than a 15-minute walk away, you might enjoy staying on one of the many picturesque cobblestone streets leading off from the famous Cathedral in Plaza España. Boutique hotels and historical apartment rentals intermix with the old quarter's tapa bars and Andalusian storefronts. Nearby, Barrio Santa Cruz is a bit quieter than the main plaza but still boasts the city's sought-after old-world charm. Across the river is the Triana neighborhood, where a lack of heavy tourism has preserved the strong local scene in this mainly residential area full of traditional restaurants and corner bars.
