Where to stay in Seville

Seville's flat, grid-like city center makes it one of Spain's most walkable cities. While no part of the center is more than a 15-minute walk away, you might enjoy staying on one of the many picturesque cobblestone streets leading off from the famous Cathedral in Plaza España. Boutique hotels and historical apartment rentals intermix with the old quarter's tapa bars and Andalusian storefronts. Nearby, Barrio Santa Cruz is a bit quieter than the main plaza but still boasts the city's sought-after old-world charm. Across the river is the Triana neighborhood, where a lack of heavy tourism has preserved the strong local scene in this mainly residential area full of traditional restaurants and corner bars.

  • As the photo shows, the name of this place is Plaza del Cabildo. It is a semi-circular courtyard with lovely architecture and fountain. Well worth a short visit.  more »

  • I'm not really sure about the history behind this plaza but it certainly is beautiful. There is a souvenir shops inside with some interesting figurines for sale and on the outside there are some restaurants, they looked like tourist traps but they could be good, who knows. It is located right in the center of town, in front of the cathedral. Very picturesque
  • Beautiful hidden plaza with a semi circular wall around and a fountain at the center of it. It's so close to the cathedral so it's not an extra walk. Go there for a unique experience.
  • A charming little area often occupied by a coin and stamp market on a Sunday. Often forgotten about.
  • Amazing hidden corner.
