  • Well this is my second opinion about this place in this format, and again I would like to convey the surprise that I seem to always find this place with so few visitors, as historian seems incredible, and above all surprises me more that there is eternal queues at the palacio de las Dueñas and this House is still empty! not only is in an unbeatable enclave, but the peace and quiet of its corners with an impressive main courtyard and a Roman mosaic of the highest quality. By putting a stick, that also touches me closely professionally, the girls that often have to show the House, walk between lost and not have nor idea, and everything is given because they are students or graduates of tourism, that what is interpretation of heritage walk rather lost. For me a must-see in the city!

  • Very interesting visit of a still private home with a guide. Splendid mosaic of Roman age.

  • Private owned house. Entrance is 6 euros and you get guided tour. Tour is organised every 25 minutes. Be aware of working hours! This is one of four palaces in Seville
  • Can't believe it's still a privately owned full time residence❣️❣️ and love it that it's a guided tour. So fabulous someone made an effort to reserve such a beautiful space with so many original details. Wish we could see upstairs quarters too.
  • The best Renaissance merged with the Gothic and Mudejar art in a unique harmony of styles. In this context arose the Salinas House. Located in the monumental area of Seville's old quarter, within walking distance of the Cathedral, La Giralda and reales Alcázares, this House shared with other mansions a neighborhood of illustrious and wealthy people. Baltasar Jaén, first owner of the House and founder of own mayorazgo, belonged to one of these lineages. At the beginning of the 20th century the House became property of the family Salinas, which subjected it to a delicate and painstaking process of restoration to return it to its original appearance, which had been altered in part with interventions throughout its four hundred years of history, and very especially around 1900. Today, it looks primitive structures of the 16th century with elements from the time of its construction, harmonized aesthetically as reflected in its warm and comfortable interiors.

Where to stay in Seville

Seville's flat, grid-like city center makes it one of Spain's most walkable cities. While no part of the center is more than a 15-minute walk away, you might enjoy staying on one of the many picturesque cobblestone streets leading off from the famous Cathedral in Plaza España. Boutique hotels and historical apartment rentals intermix with the old quarter's tapa bars and Andalusian storefronts. Nearby, Barrio Santa Cruz is a bit quieter than the main plaza but still boasts the city's sought-after old-world charm. Across the river is the Triana neighborhood, where a lack of heavy tourism has preserved the strong local scene in this mainly residential area full of traditional restaurants and corner bars.
