Where to stay in Seville

Seville's flat, grid-like city center makes it one of Spain's most walkable cities. While no part of the center is more than a 15-minute walk away, you might enjoy staying on one of the many picturesque cobblestone streets leading off from the famous Cathedral in Plaza España. Boutique hotels and historical apartment rentals intermix with the old quarter's tapa bars and Andalusian storefronts. Nearby, Barrio Santa Cruz is a bit quieter than the main plaza but still boasts the city's sought-after old-world charm. Across the river is the Triana neighborhood, where a lack of heavy tourism has preserved the strong local scene in this mainly residential area full of traditional restaurants and corner bars.

  • A very busy area to explore, with an interesting market and plenty of cafes/bars nearby to lounge in the sun  more »
  • There are cafes and bars in the area but the real reason to visit is to snap a few photos of the columns.  more »

  • A nice big open court with a play area for young children, however there are no swings for young children and the area is all paved and not grass as it might seem from a map. The pillars are nice with cool statues on the top.
  • Like everything in Sevilla, this is a nice plaza to sit around and hang out, have a beer or two and enjoy people watching and let the afternoon pass by with the nice breeze hitting you on the face
  • Brilliant point to view the Alhambra. Get there just before sunset to see it at its best. Can be crowded.
  • Good place to visit as Sunday there was a market. Good big open space to walk, play with kids in playground or play football. Couple of cafes and bars too which helps passing the time away
  • If you want to go out for dinner with all the family, it is a cool place to be, many Bars and restaurants all around, and a playground for the kids.
