  • One of the few buildings in Segovia out there clear modern look is the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Esteban Vicente. But appearances are deceiving: it's housed in a former Royal Palace from 1455. It is only a chapel preserved, that now serves as a lecture hall. The five exhibition rooms are distributed over 3 floors, one room is dedicated to a grand master of the Spanish abstract expressionism, Esteban Vicente (1903-2001); the four other rooms are intended for changing exhibitions. Provides that an accessible, albeit some cool building with large rooms, long corridors and stairs (and elevator of course). Too bad there aren't more space is reserved for a museum shop, a cafe or biographical information about the Museum's namesake, Vicente, that a large part of his life in New York exhibited work here lived and whose relationship with that of Mark Rothko shows. That being said, is that one room with paintings provided Vicente's worth it. More embedding and atmosphere would do justice to his work. Now a short visit-for information.

  • It is not that it is an important Museum and therefore there is no important works.
