Very nice hotel, excellent location, historic building. Has large, comfortable and well decorated. The staff were always attentive with us. The restaurant is also good, where you can enjoy fine wines. It was really nice to stay in this hotel.

The old hospital was current the Catholic Kings Hostal. It is a very interesting visit. You have times for entry and a small cost that applies them. Tomato time to explore it and feel you are at the time when running the hospital.

You can visit the four cloisters and this place became hotel salons. It's exceptional, circulate and to let gray by the beauty and the atmosphere that prevails. You can also have a drink at the Café of the hotel, inside and outside. It's wonderful!

  • Amazing location! Some people complained that the hotel was a little dated. Well, we found our bathroom was very modern and the room was in keeping with the period building. Everything seemed well maintained. The breakfast was amazing. Parking is available, but a little expensive. Loved our stay. Hope to be back.
  • Extremely beautiful, well located, historical, quiet, interesting etc. However it is not quite a five star hotel rooms are small, not enough electrical outlets, spotty internet and attention to detail.
  • The best 5 stars parador in the heart of the city.. Authentic setting in a 16 century hospital. Excellent service.
  • The bar itself felt very classy and timeless, a lot of tourists and more elderly guests enjoying a drink or two. Excellent service at the restaurant, food was pretty good and what you would expect from the prices.
  • I did not stay here, but I had one of the best meals I have had in years at their restaurant. Absolutely fantastic meal at all levels. We ended up there mostly because they had decent vegetarian options in their menu, but ended up having a full meal with all 3 courses. The food was tasteful and delicate, veggies and fish cooked to perfection and without being pretentious. Pricey but totally worth the money.

Where to stay in Santiago de Compostela

Lodging in the city's old district is the most scenic option. Some hotels even offer rooms in renovated historical buildings near the cathedral. Consider a stay in Monte do Gozo, a small town just outside the city that offers 2,000 beds to weary pilgrims.
