  • In addition to being one of the best markets in Galicia, where you can find first quality products and that is visited daily by many of the best restaurants in Santiago, has a nave of pecking premises that have a spectacular offer (Octopus, oysters and sushi... and even a place where for €5 cooked you what you've bought on the market). For those who know them, in the style of the san miguel market of madrid and some of Bilbao. Absolutely indispensable.

  • write that it is Terminal, is an offense to those who live in his city, nice, neat, super clean everywhere especially in the bathroom we use. Obviously being the tourist town it touches with some products of this trade, never intrusive, pacottaro or chinoiserie! Wine, cheese invites visitors to purchase, but quality products such as the beautiful and the good food well exposed!

  • He liked, the market is huge and pretty, and is worth as much as go to buy, as for a ride

  • Just a market to buy meats, fish, cheese, bread, and fruits and veggies. Some sources made it seem as this was also a place to get something to eat on the spot like any mercado or food hall, but it's just for grocery shopping. It was interesting to see all the food they were selling! But don't go out of your way to see this place unless you want to buy the above-mentioned items, which are very fresh and well-priced.
  • Great little market, lots of great produce including cheese, fish, meat, vegetables and fruit. Some nice bars close by where you can soak up the atmosphere.
  • This market has everything one needs. A visual smagorboard of Galicia foods and last minute gift ideas. Just on the old city ward.
  • Nice farmers market. You can buy fresh seafood or meat and have it cooked for you in some little cafes near buy. Don't leave without trying some "pulpo a feira" (local octopuss recepie)
  • Just another market. Good to take a look to see how the locals buy food.

Where to stay in Santiago de Compostela

Lodging in the city's old district is the most scenic option. Some hotels even offer rooms in renovated historical buildings near the cathedral. Consider a stay in Monte do Gozo, a small town just outside the city that offers 2,000 beds to weary pilgrims.
