Playa de El Puntal, Santander
(4.8/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
Take in the sun at Playa de El Puntal. Swim or surf in the clear, clean water, or play some sports on the large, roomy beach. There is a variety of bars and restaurants to choose from, and the beach is generally not too crowded. If you want a full-body tan, there is a nude section of the beach. A ferry runs every 15 minutes from the maritime museum in Santander Bay, but you can reach the beach by car as well. Put Playa de El Puntal and other Santander attractions into our Santander itinerary builder, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Meets the beach of Somo and Loredo making it an ideal place for walking. The area that gives to Santander are waters dangerous but the area that gives to Pedreña is less clean but without danger.

  • Come to Santander and not go to the strut is a sin. I think that it is a privilege to be able to enjoy a heavenly place in our city, it is a spacious and quiet beach where you can disconnect with views of the Palace of the magdalena or Bay in general. Crossing in the pedrenera is one thing you can never lose, and if it is Saturday, though there are more people, you can enjoy the races that are disputed in the Bay. For me it is a very good place to see Santander from a different perspective and learn from an amazing Beach

  • Every 15 minutes leave boats from the Palace Pier, with a travel time of 15 minutes, which will transport you to paradise. This beach is a sandy area of several kilometers in the middle of the Bay of Santander, from where you can enjoy the city, or Peña Cabarga through the southern part. Both parts are separated by a system of dunes of environmental interest. On days of wind is best place is in the part South, because is more guarded. Lacks of waves as is the mouth of the estuary. Although if one walks several kilometers you will arrive to Somo, people surfer by excellence. In the North should be especially careful with the bathroom because it has a very sharp drop by the draught of vessels. It is impressive to see Plymouth ferry from so close. It is allowed to bring dogs. At the bar you can taste seafood in the area. Carry protection solar because not there is nor a shadow, out of the bar.
