Palacio de La Magdalena, Santander
(4.5/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
A former seasonal residence of the Spanish royal family, Palacio de La Magdalena contains numerous fine paintings by Spanish painters and offers vistas out onto the sea from the top of the Magdalena Peninsula. The best way to see the 20th-century palace is on a tour. The reception rooms in particular impress, and note the the curiously designed student dormitories--which were originally stables--built in a medieval English style. Take a moment to greet the penguins and seals in the small marine enclosure near the entrance. • It is a Palace with a spectacular location, too bad that it is closed to the public, should let it visit.

  • A palace that is worth or worth visiting it with beautiful views to the sea and the lighthouse. Walk its halls and corridors and go back to times ago. It is on the list of things to do in Santander.

  • I had to know it but even after seeing the great Hotelque series was filmed there. It is pulled out of a fairy tale and the Bay of Biscay at the foot is you can not ask for more. I recommend making the visit calmly sipping a little everything our sojos can absorb

  • Nice palace, unfortunately not much of the original rooms are left to be seen. The best conserved room can only be seen through the door. The visit is worth it, since it cost only 3eur
  • Beautiful from outside! The spot is really awesome
  • Amazing views of the Cantabrigian Ocean
  • Elegante
  • Historic and beautiful place
