Palacio de La Magdalena, Santander

Categories: Architectural Buildings, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
A former seasonal residence of the Spanish royal family, Palacio de La Magdalena contains numerous fine paintings by Spanish painters and offers vistas out onto the sea from the top of the Magdalena Peninsula. The best way to see the 20th-century palace is on a tour. The reception rooms in particular impress, and note the the curiously designed student dormitories--which were originally stables--built in a medieval English style. Take a moment to greet the penguins and seals in the small marine enclosure near the entrance. • Fabulous setting. Ceremonies room is beautiful and the original super event. There is a protocol but if the nerves you reveal it makes more original if fits XD not is something heavy, hard 30 min which is a plus for all!

  • Nice palace, unfortunately not much of the original rooms are left to be seen. The best conserved room can only be seen through the door. The visit is worth it, since it cost only 3eur
  • Amazing views of the Cantabrigian Ocean
  • Beautiful from outside! The spot is really awesome
  • I hope to one day walk through this palace
  • Historic and beautiful place
