  • It is a "local" Museum, and with the local I don't want to detract it but indicate that it is a museum that shows us everything about our environment, the Cantabrian Sea. In the flora and fauna section you will find virtually any kind of living creature that can be found if we get some diving glasses and are able to get up to 50 meters on our shores. The part of history reconstructs the lives of the sailors in the Bay of Biscay from about the age of stone and, in the technique, from a Boulder as an anchor to the most modern navigation devices. And don't miss the section of marine biology research. And the food in the large central pool time!

  • Yesterday we woke up and decided to go to spend the day at Santander. We recommended visit the Maritime Museum and eat there, which has stunning views of the Bay, as that did parked near the merry-go-round and we were taking a walk up there. The entrance is €8 (adult), that you deducted from the menu if you decide to eat there. Does the menu priced at € 17, where you eat today for €9? Well the truth. Regarding the Museum hides a small aquarium where we enjoyed as dwarves, a very positive excursion.

  • Really worth a visit! Loved the big, medium and smaller aquariums with sealife from Cantabria and Santander. Also there are reproductions of how a biology scientists lab was in the old and modern days. You will also find a walk through the history of life at the sea, focused on the life of fishermen of the area and also military vessels and expeditions. The repreoductions are really well crafted and the visit is fun and very interesting. I was amazed by the whole skeleton of a rorcual whale they had, which was not captured of hunted down but it died at the shore and after its death was used for scientific purposes. Also their a giant squid and some facts about the myth and legend of the Kraken. It is a bit faraway of yhe city centre but you can get there by strolling slowly by the seawalk and enjoying the view (20 min walk from city centre)
  • Value for money visit. A small regional maritime museum with a cute aquarium. Very interesting. Great restaurant on top floor with great views where you have a generous discount giving the museum receipt.
  • Интересно
  • Fantastic. Very interesting exhibition of copies and super friendly workers. No doubt a great Museum. And Sunday from 14, free entry

  • The kids love to the Aquarium, it is not big but it is magical, 12 to down a diver feeding sharks and been fun to see it. We ate in the restaurant, they have a menu of 17 euros and another child of 10 but discount you complete what you pay the Museum entry. The food is not bad and the staff attentive, pleasant, and in terms of questions them rather strive to explain and help you. By putting a stick... at the restaurant I have had some heat, but my girls say q no.
