  • Well laid out and well thought out. A museum of the history of seafaring Cantabria. Artefacts, models, audio visual dsipalys make this experience a delight. The aquarium is good as well, but the atent...  more »
  • We had a great time at the museum and aquarium. We arrived just before noon when a diver feeds the fish and the sharks in the big tank. Definitely worth it if you can be there at this time. Lots to lo...  more »
  • The place has a decent aquarium, although not of the caliber of Osaka and Lisbon, two of the world's most extensive. There are also whale and dolphin bones, models of ships, and other artifacts of Spa...  more »

  • Value for money visit. A small regional maritime museum with a cute aquarium. Very interesting. Great restaurant on top floor with great views where you have a generous discount giving the museum receipt.
  • Really worth a visit! Loved the big, medium and smaller aquariums with sealife from Cantabria and Santander. Also there are reproductions of how a biology scientists lab was in the old and modern days. You will also find a walk through the history of life at the sea, focused on the life of fishermen of the area and also military vessels and expeditions. The repreoductions are really well crafted and the visit is fun and very interesting. I was amazed by the whole skeleton of a rorcual whale they had, which was not captured of hunted down but it died at the shore and after its death was used for scientific purposes. Also their a giant squid and some facts about the myth and legend of the Kraken. It is a bit faraway of yhe city centre but you can get there by strolling slowly by the seawalk and enjoying the view (20 min walk from city centre)
  • Nice museum with beautiful views and also a huge Pokemon nest in Santander.
  • The Museum is very well facilities are clean and the attention from the staff very good. Sunday afternoons admission is free, yet not very crowded of people. It is the Museum of Cantabria, so you're not going to see tropical fish or other things as in the San Sebastian and Valencia is made to know the aquatic wildlife of the Cantabrian Sea yet is very well it is the fourth time that we will and do not last a site pretty relaxing. You should visit it.
