  • A place that connects the center of the city with the area more high General Dávila. Good views of Santander, the sea and the mountains. Free

  • This funicular is nothing special, was made to climb to the top of the city without having to climb a steep slope or stairs, but if you come to Santander and have a clear day, it is worth climbing. It's free, it caught in the Rio de la Pila, which is a very typical area for wines. Not you take 10 minutes to get up and you will enjoy beautiful views of the city, the Bay and the mountains that are seen in the distance, then you can get at the funicular, or stay in the high part of the city, although it is not very nice, walking you can arrive to the el Sardinero area approximately in half an hour You also have municipal bus which costs € 1.30, leaving the funicular at the top, go to the left, you will find the school of the Salesians, if you want to take the bus to go to el Sardinero beaches, putting you at the stop which is on the side of the school, and if you want to turn complete and return to the Centre of Santander Please stop that is on the sidewalk opposite the school.

  • If you're a fan of the standing position, then it is best that you use the classic endless stairs. If you're a normal person, you will find the funicular salvation short at the beginning of angina pectoris which can result in up to General Dávila Rio de la Pila. As points against, the schedule (do not understand why, if it works autonomously, closes at night) and the fact that breaks down from time to time.
