  • Another City Council with a good square antique and history. With your ID you can enter and see its interior with a precise Atrium

  • Although this is not the first location of the Town Hall, which we know today is one of the hallmarks of the santanderinos. Plaza, specifically the door of City Hall, is the typical meeting place (such as the statue of the bear and the madrino in Madrid) since it is in the heart of the city and everything is nearby. It is of modernist style, although quite eclectic, is a pity that the old dome that was all a jewel is not preserved. Many people don't know that it was built in two phases, first became the left half in a plot adjacent to the old convent of San Francisco and was built when it was shot down the right half looking for symmetry. If the old wall of the city is preserved the town hall would be outside the walls. Curious, really? For those who want to soak you to Santander I recommend you ask at the tourist office about guided city tours (in season low just have no luck) and if you visit the city at your own pace do not fail to see the model that is in the cloister of the Cathedral with the Santander medieval, safe that you recognize the location of the former convent of San Francisco , just the plot where erected this Council.

  • Building where the local municipality. In front of the building lies a small square and under the same parking where you can leave the car to start visiting the city.

  • A meeting point in the city, without nothing to highlight... the building is not exactly pretty, but the square is a spacious place to rest. There are several shops nearby, especially clothes.
