  • Next to the A-2 is a beautiful monastery which is worth a stop if you're in the area. Visit the bottom since the first resident monks who inhabit it and cannot be visited. It is very well maintained, was to tour free and at the box office a friendly monk explains what you'll see and gives you a brochure. Note the two cloisters, refectory, the kitchen and the Church. In the shop you can buy sweets, drinks, jams, books and other memorabilia. At the beginning of the visit, there is an explanatory video of the Cistercian community and its history

  • The effort to highlight the medieval religious art that make the man ages every year, with its origin in the Cistercian Valbuena (not to be missed), it pales rigorously the Museum of Santa María de Huerta Cistercian in panels. Purity, simplicity, without altarpieces, without historiated windows, austere as the rule of Saint Benedict. Even the herrerian cloisters is Cistercian (as anachronism). Monastery alive, well explained with drawings, photos and audiovisual. Until the store is good.

  • The visit of does for free but the monk tells you to input how to make the visit. They also give you an explanatory pamphlet. There is an audiovisual half-hour that worth seeing. To exit, you can buy artisan products of the monks.

  • A late Romanesque building evolved into Gothic. Maximum peak of building since the end of the 12TH and the 13TH. Then there were many more additions and restorations. Its good state of preservation allows us to get a clear idea of the vicissitudes of that time.

  • A true gem this Cistercian Monastery. Prior to the visit audiovisual I think it deserves to see it in context of the monastery. Good shop and brothers (monks) very nice. Definitely worth the stop.

  • It is interesting, and they have a very well stocked shop. Especially Christmas and Easter postcards are precious. And homemade jams.
