  • Saturday 2 November, we finally arrived at the Monastery animated with the possibility of a medieval visit through the monastery. At 12h on time, a group of visitors accompany the guide to the interior of the enclosure. At the door a brief explanation of just 5 min about the history of it. We entered the first room, which had been the original church built in the S.X, and rebuilt later on several occasions. We sit in some banks from which we can visualize an audiovisual that recreates the history of the monastery. So far, good introduction. And get out of here... it's over, the guided tour. Sorry? Yes, as it is. The guide tells us that we can go alone to see the cloister and another video in what was the cellar of the monastery. Here ends the long-awaited medieval visit. There is so much neatness, modernity and technology that it is difficult to get a sense that: you are in a monaterium, the visit be medieval, you have paid 15 euros for this. I am passionate about medieval history and without a doubt, my disappointment was absolute. At 13:30h we had signed up to a workshop of "Ointments, syrups and herbs", with the guide, which proved to be very high on topics of phytotherapy (plant-based therapy), we visited a rincon of the monastery that appeared to be the old pharmacy. From there to a modernist room where we were waiting for a little white clay, a little olive oil and literally 1 drop of rosemary essential oil. For what? to make a moisturizing mask that we take home naturally. The price of this infide tour and such elaboration : 4 euros. If instead of 1 drop, it would have been 4 wouldn't have happened either.... and the mask would stop smelling of olive oil. Anyway, what can I say? That lamenting it very much is the worst medieval visit I've ever followed. Recreations with mannemen, models and environmental reproductions, are at the order of the day. If instead of an audiovisual image reflected on the wall of the supposed kitchen, they would have recreated a real medieval kitchen... frankly the visit would have been more realistic. I was disappointed and of course, I do not recommend anyone to pay this price so as not to see anything.

  • The visit is divided between the daily life of the painter Ramon Casas and another of medieval visit. Both in the monastery, but they complement each other. Facilities that have been reformed in the last century, so it does not keep so many medieval constructions. Interesting multimedia presentations that are projected during visits, fully automated and using as screen chairs, tables, paintings, etc. If you go to Hotel Món or some of the restaurants are essential visits. All very well preserved.
