Combs of the Winds, San Sebastian - Donostia
(3.9/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Watch the waves crash over the modern iron sculptures created by famous Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida at Combs of the Winds. Built at the western tip of the Bay of Biscay between 1975 and 1977, the three-piece installation marks the end of the promenade around the bay, giving you a sense of destination once you have arrived there. With frequent winds churning up the Atlantic Ocean, you stand a good chance of catching a lively display of churning water around the sculptures. • It is a very nice place that had not even visited, it is worth the ride to get, is precious. Certain that there is a piece with landslides fence but the sculptures are perfectly and the photos do not go. It is worth to see it. The only downside is to see people throwing cigarette butts at the sea.

  • The sculptures are an icon of Donostia and it is worth visiting them. Also loved kids, and not so kids, as it blows the water into the holes in the ground with the waves. That if it ended up all wet

  • Already it is called comb of the winds, blows, blows and blows air nonstop. No doubt after a great ride by the shell arrived at this magnificent sculpture by Chillida (behind aquarium) that happy view of San Sebastian. For more times I visit the city always have to watch this corner of the city. Visit it, is worth the trouble.
