A large structure, it is architecturally impressive with an extensive collection of books and relics. The small 11th-century casket containing the remains of San Millan is a highlight, with its ivory-carved panels featuring Romanesque designs.   • Beautiful monastery, must see in La Rioja. The chant books are real relics, also an ark from the XI century. Everything is very well preserved, so please be respectful! I saw people touching drawings hundred years old... 🤦‍♂️ 4/5* only because it needs some work regarding accessibility. There are elements like wooden ramps that do not modify the architecture, so preservation is not an excuse.
