  • long windy road hot long windy road got there and it was shut a gardener sorting out rubbish. a few dogs. the place looked like an abandoned desert camel farm anyway, check it's open before heading up 
  • By GC-60 of Maspalomas to the North, a few kilometers after the panoramic Degollada de La Yegua encounter a sign saying Arteara and left arrow. It is worth to turn in the path that will lead us to the village of Arteara and next to the original inhabitants of the island-the Guanches. The cemetery is located on the edge of the ravine of Barranco de Fataga and contains 809 stone barrows of various shapes, in which individual and collective burials. The cemetery is open from October to March every day except Monday from 10 am to 5 pm and from April to September from 10 am to 6 pm. The price of the ticket 4 euro.

  • Never were a pile of rocks so interesting. And I'm being serious. My wife were on a short hike and through a small town we wandered up a hill to this unusual archeology site. We're glad we stopped and...  more »
