Lined with shops, restaurants, bars, and palm trees, Avenida Jaume I is an oceanfront avenue for the Catalonian town of Salou. Admire the street’s ornate buildings and their intricate facades, running from the old town center along the sea. Kick back and people-watch alongside the large decorative pool, or grab a bite to eat at one of many steakhouses and fast-food restaurants. Follow the road as it leads you to a monument to St. Jaume, the namesake of the avenue, and further to a large fountain that is often synchronized with music. For families with younger members, there is a children’s play area available. • This boulevard is extremely nice to stop by in the beginning in the evening walking and some nice souvenirs to buy. It is very neat and well maintained. At the top of Passeig de Jaume I is the famous fountain of Salou. By lighting the city and the water gets a fairy-like appearance.

  • Beautiful place for quiet walks along the shoreline. In the immediate vicinity of restaurants, shops and, of course, the sea.
