Avenida Jaume I, Salou

(4.5/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Lined with shops, restaurants, bars, and palm trees, Avenida Jaume I is an oceanfront avenue for the Catalonian town of Salou. Admire the street’s ornate buildings and their intricate facades, running from the old town center along the sea. Kick back and people-watch alongside the large decorative pool, or grab a bite to eat at one of many steakhouses and fast-food restaurants. Follow the road as it leads you to a monument to St. Jaume, the namesake of the avenue, and further to a large fountain that is often synchronized with music. For families with younger members, there is a children’s play area available. • This avenue is beautiful and reminds a little of the promenade des anglais in Nice. On one side, four rows of Palm trees and the other side of the road shops and restaurants practically alas all closed in winters.

  • Avenida Jaume I, runs parallel to the promenade of Salou, next to the main beach. It is a long and wide Avenue with Palm trees, very pleasant to stroll, furthermore throughout her various monuments and sources are.

  • Been there 5d end of December, so only locals in the city. Loved the boulevard, which was quiet, peacefull and rather impressive. But i don't think we would be going the in the high season.
