  • LS towers are built to be close to heaven, the place in which it is simply happy. But also to scan the horizon. What is already said by Unamuno, Salamanca "High Soto de torres". And from the height, Salamanca is currency of another form. And permitting two exhibitions: one from cathedrals, Jeronimus; the other from the clergy, Scala Coeli. And climb the towers of the clergy is a unique experience, it is breathing, seeing the world to anticipate in a pleasant way to our future. SCALA COELI is a singular stairway to heaven, with which we enjoy panoramic spectacular of the city which we had never before known. Scala Coeli allows visitors to discover the history of the Royal College of the society of Jesus. The building which today houses the Pontifical University of Salamanca was started in 1617, by order of Queen Margaret of Austria and Felipe III, as the main Center for the formation of the Jesuits who subsequently sent to the American colonies and the Protestant countries of Central Europe. It is, at present, a splendid demonstration of the Baroque, highlighting its Noble staircase and especially the magnificent Patio Baroque surrounded by a two-storey cloister. The tour includes access to the between or grandstands, from whose balconies you can admire the interior of the actual clergy of San Marcos, a privileged place to admire the high altar and its magnificent Baroque altarpiece. This space is divided into three rooms. In the first one, under the title of "the beginning and the end", include portraits of Margaret of Austria and Felipe III, and documentation on the Foundation of the Royal School of the society of Jesus. The second room is dedicated to the construction of the building and the third to the new"reborn". The tour continues by the staircase to the two towers of the Church. The rise by the staircase of the ringer, fully restored, is set with an intervention of light and sound. The transit between both towers, since the height, allows a unique view of Salamanca offering us spectacular perspectives of the historical district of this capital city. Scala Coeli is... And from here, will play a city sky divine as Salamanca, which from the air looks even more beautiful.

  • Them stairs that there is that upload is forget to the get up and see them spectacular views of the city, to see from up them cathedrals, the Palace of Anaya, them Dominican, it Plaza greater and it amount of churches and monuments of the city not has price. Personally the views I like most from the clergy than from the Cathedral.
