A permanent exhibition on the history of Salamanca’s cathedral and the diocese, Ieronimus is located within the medieval towers of the New Cathedral, an attraction in themselves, worth climbing for the views. If you’re intimidated by the steps, keep in mind that tour groups stop frequently for pictures so there is plenty of time to rest. Check online in advance to time your visit to hear the bells from up close. Don’t miss the video simulation of the damage caused by the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Salamanca holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Ieronimus and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Different options of paying to see the Cathedral for us was the best. They are around two hundred steps but gets along well and you see from above both the exterior as the interior of the Cathedral.

  • Not very frequented attraction consisting of climb up the Tower of the Cathedral and with magnificent views of Salamanca, its environment and be able to stroll through sites that are not typically seen in these buildings. Besides see buttresses, dome and its pinnacles, there is a short walk by the triforium where the interior of the Cathedral is seen from above... with rosettes. And in the Tower if you get 12... dull sales. Good campaigns very well. Very curious. Recommended

  • I've never done a tour like this. The tower is totally reformed and structured to visits, impossible to decide whether it preferred the internal view of the Cathedral from the Tower or city views, impressive ride and must go, if you have breath to climb a must!!!!!

  • A must visit
  • Well worth climbing the Tower of the Cathedral. A small part of the route to climb enters the Cathedral and many could give it by sight. The price is affordable and give you an audio guide.

  • INCREDIBLE and SPECTACULAR views are majestic. The story contains in its interior is very interesting. During the visit you can see both the interior of the new Cathedral and the altarpiece of the old cathedral.
