  • We discovered the history of this former Franciscan monastery and the devotion to the Virgin of the refuge or "pilgrimage". A beautiful story and beautiful restored buildings. Too bad the explanations are in Spanish. Entrance 3 s euro and with the credenciale we got a beautiful nominative document attesting that we went through the geographical centre determining the halfway between Roncesvalles and Sahagún.

  • It is a shrine a few meters from the Center, less than a kilometer to the top of a hill, I went up to over 35 degrees of heat. The place is completely renovated, modernized and suitable to teaching, to delve a little into the culture of the ancient monasteries. There is nothing special, but you are a pilgrim accreditation, by esttar in the middle of the Camino de Santiago

  • Representative monument of Romanesque-mudejar. Restored a few years ago with great success. An obligatory stop on the way.

  • It is very beautiful, all photos that are already here are like a the mine, not does need to add. That there are great and show everything exactly as it is today. The entrance is €3 and you can get your Pilgrim Charter is very beautiful I got mine and it's free. You can also leave your signature with a comment printed that you wish to contribute, and these books are stored there in chronological order. I recommend you not to go without with be careful climb to the top of the Hill you'll see behind the monastery. . From there you can take spectacular photos of the monastery and a beautiful panoramic view of the town of Sahagún. . A greeting and good way.

  • An ancient legend says: Erase in the middle ages, a pilgrim elder who walked the Camino de Santiago. Already failed the Pilgrim elder forces up to feel that sucumbia... When of a sudden, spotted a beautiful woman also didnʼt towards Compostela which was proposed to achieve, but never what I got, and that at the end of their journey of andanza wondered if anyone has seen it or knew, but not found answers. Day after day is bye this same action until you reach the sanctuary of Sahagún, where it risked a Virgin, which, to see the "Pilgrim elder" burst into full mass exclaiming ESA is the beautiful Pilgrim!. And it was then that peregrine elder finished and can die in peace. For that reason, since that time, that place is called "Sanctuary of LA VIRGEN PEREGRINA".

  • Very beautiful place, steeped in history. It is possible to see the Arab influence in some of the walls.
