El Tajo, Ronda
Categories: Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks
The town of Ronda seems impossibly perched atop El Tajo, a 130 m (427 ft) canyon yielding views at once spectacular and a little bit frightening. Completed in 1793, the Puente Nuevo spans the gorge, its old age lending it splendor, while making the prospect of crossing slightly unnerving at the same time. If you’re up for a hike, walk the path from town down into the gorge and pass under this bridge, the tallest of three. Stop in the bridge’s small museum, detailing its history and that of the town. Plan to visit El Tajo and other customer-reviewed, writer-recommended Ronda attractions using our Ronda family vacation planner.

I have to admit that in my case I am in love with my land, while I've been years living outside, Ronda is a city that always likes to enjoy. Its impressive new bridge, better known as El Tajo, cannot be left out of our tourist route, you can visit the interior, in its early days it was prison that housed seasonally to the bandits in the area. I recommend the view from 8 pipes, from there we are fortunate to see the Majesty of this architectural work linked to what we had as children, which is what motivated the construction of the bridge, the force of nature that divided the city in two. This weekend go back to go, encouraged by the fact that some friends from Granada wants to visit her for the first time, and I recognize that I am delighted to be able to return to tour guide again.show original
