  • It is a place that you should go is a shame the State in which it is located. Thanks to a lot of volunteers are recovering it when you enter, because you make an idea of the splendour that had to have in no days

  • Rioseco monastery is abandoned since the confiscation of Mendizábal, but since a few years ago a local association is restoring it. It is one of the abandoned jewels of Burgos and was used for 700 years. It conserves a wonderful cloister on two floors with its original arches which is one of the most impressive places of these lands. Alongside the Ebro river and in an area full of cave hermitages this Majesty stands

  • Visit the ruins of the monastery of Rioseco is a great experience, a few minutes walk along a road, until you reach the skeleton of the magnificent monastery. Mix of mystery and melancholy remains abandoned. Praise the work of volunteers in consolidation and musealization of the monastery. A pity all that has been lost, although ruins in this State has a great charm. 100% recommended.
