Cuevona de Cuevas, Ribadesella

(750+ reviews on the web)
Geologic Formation
At nearly 300 m (984 ft) from end to end, Cuevona de Cuevas serves as a connection between a series of small towns along the coast of Asturias and the rest of Spain. The cave’s massive limestone features include a host of stalactites and stalagmites. The space is home to a large array of different mosses, ferns, and fungi. As you wander along the length of the cave's inner chamber, keep a sharp eye out for the large colony of bats that calls the cave home. The cave provides an important passageway and transportation link for the village that is its namesake, and the road through the cave is still open to car traffic. Some roadside parking spots are available near the cave’s entrance. For Cuevona de Cuevas and beyond, use our Ribadesella vacation builder to get the most from your Ribadesella vacation.

  • This pimp stroll through the cave. A must-see. The most impressive is the environment until you arrive

  • The cavern or cave cavern is a Karst formation located in the parish of Junco - Ribadesella. It is a natural tunnel or cave of more than three hundred metres in length. Beautiful girl.

  • Nice and curious people which only can be accessed by a cave.

  • Spectacular cave. It is the only access to the village. Perhaps in good weather and in this crowded summer season, but without a doubt it is a place to visit. The road passes by her but is so spectacular that if there are no cars you might think you're in a cave Museum. 100% recommended
