  • It is a short route (about 12 Km round-trip from the parking lot of el Paular) without large ledges and with constant Brook gable as the more pleasant traveling companion. Small ponds and cascades of crystal clear waters occur one after the other to get to the end and after a small (somewhat more uncomfortable) rock to the viewpoint of the cascade of the purgatory that is this time of thaw, low full of water. Recommended (although it is difficult to be a well-known road) avoid peak days and take footwear, especially by the last sections.

  • Not very difficult route, although the last section has a little more difficulty. The only downside for me is the beginning of the road is a little monotonous and paved.

  • Visit to el Paular we liked very much guided one success well counted and explained all the man give a 10. I instead the path of purgatory believe that we will return but when do better time and that we made a day of good scandal.

  • The great outdoors a hop and skip away from Madrid. Get there easily by car, park all day with acvess to bathrooms for just 5 euro.
  • Beautiful and easy walking route. Ideal for the whole family. Weekends and bridges in the summer very crowded.

  • The path is easy and pretty. I think it is a suitable route from 4 years.

  • Nice waterfall in the Sierra de Guadarrama, in the header of the Valle del Lozoya. To reach the same just follow any of the multiple paths that reach it. One of the most famous out of Rascafría, in the clips, from where approximately 1 h at a good pace you can get to the waterfall. The route is well signposted and with points of information. At the end of it there is a viewpoint to the waterfall. The final stretch of the route, as you approach the waterfall is beautiful in parallel to the River with blue water and full of vegetation. On weekends it tends to be very busy. From the clips, in addition to the path indicated by signs there is another more parallel to the river that runs through a livestock farm (remember to let closed doors) that shortens times and this allowed its use. A recommended route for all levels

  • Route makes it easy for the whole family. Departing from the monastery of el Paular. Apace in an hour and you get to the waterfall.
