  • A popular type of Holiday Spain "Senderizm"-walking. Yes such wondrous places you can wander around constantly! Around are mountains, snowy peaks. The height of the tallest 2.381 m. so the air is crisp, the sky is clear-got up and went! Pen'jalara-beautiful Lake surrounded by stone cliffs of green color is due to the MOSS that grows on rocks. Time 3-4 hours should be no less.

  • One of the most beautiful areas of the mountains of Madrid. Spectacular views from the peak of Peñalara. The lagoons are a magic point. The negative side is the uncontrollable amount of picnickers climbing without knowing respect it, pasting voices that spoil the charm. A great environmental education campaign would be of great help and control the amount of cars that turn up making share a lot smaller than it is now.

  • It is a good place to walk and if you want even to a swim in the SUMMER, WATER is ice-cold eye. But you NEVER get to go on a WEEKEND during the SUMMER, there are more people than in the WAR

  • It's a beautiful place for an easy hike. Once you reach the summit of Peñalara keep going as there is an interesting pass with large boulders that makes it fun for newbies. It's a protected area so don't strand away from the path and please don't litter. There are several fountains which come from the river going down the mountain, you can use them for drinking but still try to bring plenty of water. Additionally it's better to rent a car as the bus service is highly unreliable, we were stranded for 5 hours and it's not the first time.
  • Beautiful park near Madrid. With a large fauna diversity.
  • A beautiful place to go hiking! Beware, in the winter months the place is covered in snow!
  • Just half an hour away from Madrid, you can be above 2k :)
