  • We were on the road with the car on the island. The Ecomuseo la Alcogida is a very nice attraction and good destination in the region. You get an insight into the way of life of the rural population. There are very beautiful restauriete houses and windmills. Ideal for families with children. Gladly, we therefore recommend the destination.

  • I would like to reward the Ecomuseo la Alcogida with a good rating for his commitment to the preservation of Canary culture. But unfortunately the praise is very difficult one, as soon as one is once on the "before pointing animals" by... Again, you can see old sunken homesteads on Fuerteventura. In the Ecomuseo la Alcogida brought just such abandoned dwellings to new life. Faithfully restored and lovingly furnished, they offer an insight into earlier, by hardship, life of the Islanders the visitors. The declarations are unfortunately sparse. Many interesting objects are not described, the Spanish film about the original way of Töpferns is not subtitled. Some more information would be that exciting, but still I'd give the Museum still four points in my review. You will see interesting craft site running. Weaving, metalwork, weaving, pottery-making us embroidery. Depending on who is currently on site. The beautiful works can be purchased at reasonable prices. As far as the visit to the Ecomuseum is an exciting and loving affair. However, the very queasy feeling, with its entrance fee to finance not only the preservation of ancient culture, but also gross cruelty comes over the visitors. In sweltering heat a malnourished, visibly stressed dog is hechelnd the Sun - chained on a 2-3 of meter long chain. A camel its is expressed with his boys in the farthest corner a few square metres of large enclosure, there's little shade. Two cows also hide from the Sun. The donkey is alone and has no way to retreat into the shadows - there is none. Water? At least none I've seen. May be that livestock had been so commonplace 100 years ago, today it should no longer be there! As long the Ecomuseo la Alcogida exhibiting animals in this way, I can not recommend it. I hope it changes its practice, then it's worth in any case a trip for all culturally interested visitors.

  • A completely dispensable visit in Fuerteventura, to start nailed you €5 for a visit to four houses that supposedly represent how they lived before on the island, the explanations are scarce and when you get to the "farm" you will meet a gruesome scenario; animals dehydrated, ill care and full sun! Nothing should visit, saving you € 5.

  • Thats a real interesting museum about farming and craftsmanship on the island. Historic, authentic buildings. Inside you will find ladies, producing typical products with historic techniques and machines, that you can buy to. As in all museums on Fuerteventura all in Spanish Language and the ladies do not speak a word English. So, thats a petty, they can not tell you anything about there interesting techniques. If you have a good command in Spanish, they will very friendly show you more and let you try yourself.
  • €5 per adult 7 building to look round not much else took 40mins
  • Interestingly, more than what I expected.
