Playa Bollullo, Puerto de la Cruz

(4.5/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
The dark, soft sand of Playa Bollullo is a product of volcanic activity millions of years ago. You'll see evidence of this in the tall, jagged cliffs and rocks along the borders of the beach. The only facilities are a small cafe serving tapas and bocadillos, or sandwiches, so this strip of sand stays relatively quiet even during peak tourist season. A 30-minute walk from Puerto de la Cruz will get you the water's edge. Be careful of strong currents and waves when swimming. By using our Puerto de la Cruz trip itinerary planner, you can arrange your visit to Playa Bollullo and other attractions in Puerto de la Cruz.

  • This is also a part of Tenerife where you can have a beautiful view from the top, where you can see also The Martianez, the beach is still dark with small pebbles, original, hard to get there is so not good at all but it's worth it.

  • On the beach we reached the foot of Puerto Cruz. We started our trip from Playa Martinez by going to the top of the lace pattern on the left side of the viaduct, Chalet for boys-worth taking a look over the fence to the shelter, the dogs napping wall overlooking the ocean about 100 yards/we turned and we found ourselves on the 2 km-long panoramic trail on the coast, Sendero de La Costa which runs among the banana plantations, the wonderful breathtaking views, which took us to the beach Bollullo. Hidden Beach, sand black volcanic more miałki than the Jardin. Blissful silence, people like the cure and only ocean, ocean, ocean and where you look at the wonderful views. On the beach, breaking into the top is toilet and something on the shape of the bar. Bar supports a nice young man with a cat. You can enjoy a good espresso for 1 euro. We spent some time on the beach, we ate your packed lunch, pomoczyliśmy legs and with the pain of the heart went way back. On the way back when you get to the highway we chose a different route. This time we went under the road to the other side and all the time going down, passing the hotel Semiramis, the city market hall/Mercado Municipal/stairs down to lower Puerto Cruz. to the Center. The tour is great, it takes all day. By the way, we saw the top city hotels, hanging on the steep slopes that viewed from the bottom seem such an unstable and dangerous. I would urge you, you might want to get to the beach-there is little such lovely, lonely places on the planet Earth at your fingertips.

  • If you live in Puerto de la Cruz, you should take a trip to this beach. It's fine to wander on the popular hiking trail that runs east from the city to the beach. The scenery here is spectacular, and a stop on this beach gives the soul!

  • A wonderful natural beach of black sand. The access is not that easy compared to tourist beaches, but it really is worth getting there. The sand is very dark and the landscape around beautiful. I would recommend this beach over one of the big beaches of the island any day.
  • Well kept secret ..... Great 'out of the way' beach ..... Access is not easy .... A long walk (with lots of steps) or a tricky drive to get there but well worth the effort !
  • One of the nicest natural beaches in Tenerife
  • One of the best place in Tenerife :)
  • Beautiful beach. Not very easy to get to by car.
