Playa Bollullo, Puerto de la Cruz
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
The dark, soft sand of Playa Bollullo is a product of volcanic activity millions of years ago. You'll see evidence of this in the tall, jagged cliffs and rocks along the borders of the beach. The only facilities are a small cafe serving tapas and bocadillos, or sandwiches, so this strip of sand stays relatively quiet even during peak tourist season. A 30-minute walk from Puerto de la Cruz will get you the water's edge. Be careful of strong currents and waves when swimming. There is also a bar, a bathroom, and rent a deck chair.show original
Fuimos pero no llegamos a bajar, por las opiniones pensé que el acceso seria mejor, pero al estar embarazada no lo vi claro y preferimos ir a otra playaWe were but we failed to get, for the views I thought that access would be better, but being pregnant I did not see him clear and prefer to go to another beachshow original
Well kept secret ..... Great 'out of the way' beach ..... Access is not easy .... A long walk (with lots of steps) or a tricky drive to get there but well worth the effort !
A wonderful natural beach of black sand. The access is not that easy compared to tourist beaches, but it really is worth getting there. The sand is very dark and the landscape around beautiful. I would recommend this beach over one of the big beaches of the island any day.
Beautiful beach. Not very easy to get to by car.
