4.2
#1 of 62 in Zoos & Aquariums in Spain
Zoo / Aquarium Nature / Park
Loro Parque boasts the world’s largest collection of parrots—over 350 different species. It also shelters numerous other animals, including chimpanzees, tigers, sea lions, alligators, pelicans, exotic fish, otters, jaguars, and gorillas. For many tourists, the highlight of their visit is the underground aquarium, offering daily dolphin and whale shows. With its unusual blend of tourist entertainment and serious conservation, the park has introduced over 40 million visitors to the principles of animal preservation. Most tourists have their picture taken with a parrot right at the entrance, which creates long waiting lines. For immediate access, book your ticket online and skip the parrot photo op. • Went here for a day, could not waste more than 2 hours here, it was a lovely well kept zoo but I though 35€ pp was too expensive for what it was. Free train to and from peurto de la cruz, a little bum...  more »
  • My second visit to Loro Parque, my fiance's first time. It was even better than I had remembered from when I first came, and my fiance absolutely loved the day we spent there  more »
  • Amazing wildlife park, with so much animal show like dolphins, and birds. Very good program for all day, with wide range of shops and restaurants as well with very cheap prices and great foods!  more »

  • Definitely worth spending the whole day here. Park and animals really looked after and food at a reasonable price too. Whole family really enjoyed the day out. Get there early and see the shows first as does get busy. can then spend the rest of the day chilling out looking at the rest of the park. Penguin display has really been thought out well and can see how much research they put into the looking after of all the animals
  • The best zoo I have ever been to. I recommend timing your day well by looking at the boards near the shops when you first enter. The food is also cheap and cheerful so don't worry about cost. The shows were put of this world. The zoo shows you how they conserve the animals there and how they are very well looked after.
  • great way to spend the day for all ages. loads of animal to see, the shows were entertaining no matter how many times you see it. great range of shows including dolphins, orcas, bird show and sea lions. large aquarium and plenty of shade with seating area. facilities were on point in terms of toilets and park was kept clean at all times. although we brought our own packed lunch, looking at the menu the food pricing seem fair, parking on site is extra.
  • I think that the park is over hyped. We booked a day thinking it would last a good few hours but found that within an hour we had seen most of the parks animals. I don't know why but I thought it would be bigger and contained more animals. For the cost of £48 for transfers and tickets I feel it's a little steep for what the park has to offer.
  • Wonderful park and I'm pretty sure animals get treated well too. I'm not an expert so this is just the opinion of a person that likes animals. You can see a lot of animals and a lot of shows too. Really nice and i honestly trust the owners when they say they use part of the money they make to help the nature and animals. Only downside is that food and drinks are a bit too expensive when you keep the rather high entrance fee in mind.
