#2 of 8 in Parks in Puerto de la Cruz
Garden Nature / Park
A center of preservation and research for Macaronesian plant life, the 210 hectares (7 acres) of Botanical Gardens are divided into sectors that showcase specific categories of vegetation. The Macaronesian Ornamental Garden gives you a scented overview of the island's indigenous plants. Another must-see is the Bosque de Laurísílva, where tree species that once covered the island are preserved and cultivated. Visit the La Fuente de Los Sabios, or Wisemen’s Fountain, to pay homage to the botanists who painstakingly worked to study and preserve this plant life. • It is a great place to see if you love plants and flowers. Also nice place to take rest from heat. Some nice trees and interesting plans. Very cheap ticket (3€) so I can recommend to anyone.
  • A lovely garden, not much in fish for the water parts which was expecting and there is a repeating of the same plants and flowers. It was nice to look around and the food places opposite are great.
  • Great, big botanical garden. Good place for a nice walk and chillout. Fully accessible on wheelchair or with stroller. Entrance cost €3 for adults. Toilets available inside. May be a little bit crowded sometimes as many school (?) trips come here.
