  • In the Centre of the city, with violent walls and towers, is well preserved and kept, with lots of vegetation on the outside, and a completely empty inside but that in its upper part offers you a wonderful view of the city; The access price is 1.5 euros; I recommend a visit but it is not the best of Priego, although if you go with time you must not miss it

  • Arab fortress renovated in the 13th and 14th centuries. The castle of Priego, essentially military character, is austere, as befits the defensive reasons that marked its origin. It is formed by a walled perimeter by quadrangular towers and a cylindrical. At the main entrance of the castle of Priego, there is a corridor of access with two horseshoe arches targeted, framed by an alfiz, with door to the outside and a rake sliding slot. The Tower of homage is a national historic-artistic monument since 1943. It sits offset on the parade ground, its height is 30 metres, part of which are currently semiunderground

  • Good views. It is worth to pay for entrance. The only downside are the schedules, reduced and unpractical.

  • Fortress of Islamic origin in the 13th and 14th centuries. It is austere, essentially military character, as befits the defensive reasons that marked its origin. It is formed by a walled perimeter by quadrangular towers and a cylindrical. At its main entrance, there is a corridor of access with two horseshoe arches targeted, framed by an alfiz, with door to the outside and a rake sliding slot. The Tower of homage is a national historic-artistic monument since 1943. It sits offset on the parade ground, its height is 30 metres, part of which are semiunderground today. Chronologically, this tower, also called Torre Gorda, may date from the second half of the 13th century, when the town of Priego was a Commission of the order of Calatrava, although the presence of the Nasrid in the windows capitals indicate the possibility be an additive of the first half of the 14th century when Priego returned to living under Islamic rule.

  • The Tower of homage is restored and you can climb up to the roof enjoying spectacular views of Priego de Cordoba and the surrounding area. Part of the wall is also passable. Much attention that inside the castle there is an inhabited dwelling that clashes in the environment.
