Venture beneath the earth to see one of the world’s largest subterranean lakes at Cuevas del Drach. The four caves sit 25 m (82 ft) underground and stretch 2.4 km (1.5 mi). Marvel at the impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations that adorn the cave floors and ceilings. Take a guided tour through the caves, which includes a boat ride across Martel Lake and ends with a four-piece live classical concert. The paths can be quite steep and slippery, so be sure to wear good walking shoes. To visit Cuevas del Drach and other attractions in Porto Cristo, use our Porto Cristo trip builder tool.

Cuevas del Drach reviews

Especially the underground floating orchestra Something for all ages Bit of a walk and slightly skippy if you have mobility issues more »
-
The cave is special itself, but what makes it a must-see is a beautiful surprise at the end of the tour. After that, we even experienced a short boat ride inside it. more »

The tour is short and to make it Longer you basically are on the line all the time waiting for people to seat or stay within the group. Is expensive for what really is. I don’t recommend. There are... more »

I would highly recommend making a trip to the Caves of Drach; whether you're a tourist or you're new to the area! Having read the reviews before I set off this morning, I was a little concerned by past visitors mentioning how you feel rushed etc. I would say that depends on your personality. I was in there for an hour and that was more than enough time. I would advise against excursions and rent a hire car instead. That way you can go around with your own freedom. I saw a couple of tour guides from coach trips and they were constantly keeping their guests together like cattle. Anyway, the most important thing are the natural beauty of the caves and the stunning orchestra on boats that glide across the lake. It truly was an unforgettable experience! For €15 per adult online, you can't go wrong.

Took my kids here (11 & 8) with my wife. We visited many years ago. My kids loved it. It cost 50 euro for an hour but the caves are incredible. My kids were fascinated. There is a 10 minute orchestral quartet show which arrives through the underground lake boat, illuminating a darkened amphitheatre... it's very good, a memory you will keep forever.

5 stars for the nature - nevertheless, massa tourism is a fact here. I would recommend booking tickets online. The tour is only once per hour where you and roughly 200 others are let in the cave. No guided tour or background info will be given, which I found a pity. The tour ends with the mini concert, which is cool. It's worth the money but very crowded.
-
The cave itself is beautiful but the tours itself are very big and you are rushed through to the concert area. The concert was lovely and it was quite magical in the dephts and darkness of the cave. Following the concert you are done. The "boat ride" advertised was a very long queue for a very short ride, I have probably had longer bottom burps! Definitely for those who can manage steep steps. The area itself was nice but I don't honestly feel it is worth the money we paid The stars are due to the natural beauty of the place.

Well worth a visit. The caves are extensive and pretty awesome. It's not cold inside, nor stuffy. The queue at the cave entrance seems haphazard but everybody gets in. It's best to buy your tickets online in advance. The boat ride at the end is literally a couple of hundred yards but it's fun to do anyway!
