Categories: Neighborhoods, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.7/5 based on 6,000+ reviews on the web
Surrounded by a medieval wall, Alcudia Old Town contains numerous well-preserved houses dating all the way back to the 13th century. Famous for its cozy alfresco restaurants, this old quarter is best explored on foot because of its narrow streets and limited parking. Pedestrianized and always packed by tourists, the neighborhood is home to a twice-weekly market and myriad tiny bistros known for serving a wide range of tempting local delicacies. Visit the remains of a Roman town just outside the old wall, and be sure to stop by the Church of Saint Jaume, a minor Gothic masterpiece. • What a nice authentic location for a night out. Great atmosphere and fantastic choice of restaurants. Not much for the party goers if you want that.
  • We were totally surprised, how beautiful is this town, nice shops, good local and especially really nice atmosphere. Reminded us of the sound kana.
