  • We were in February, blew an eerie wind) by the evening breeze intensifies, sand in your eyes and in all places) and funny going on. and near desert with dunes and sand sailing))) worth a look .... but live in Mas-Palomose not worth it))). If you are not urban to the bone. There's nothing to do. Go to the West of the island

  • I would definitely recommend a visit, the statues that are built out of sand are amazing, and some great shops near by.  more »
  • Crossing the dunes on the way to the beach was a fun experience. Although it was hot, the trek was good especially seeing camels go by.  more »

  • Fascinating place. We walked towards the water and back for about 2 hours. No marked ways, you can choose to walk up and down the dunes or just look at them from infront of the hotel. Make sure to walk a bit further towards the beach where there are less people. Bring water as there is no shade and all the up and down can get quite exhausting!
  • Very interesting, amazing place. You can imagine, how it could be lost in the Sahara. Closed footwear is recommended, because the sand is extremely hot!
  • Go for a nice walk there, bit windy at times but absolutely beautiful.
  • A place out of this world, so good to walk on the dunes
  • I have to laugh as when doing the Camel Trekking i was wearing strong perfume which is a big No! No! As it causes the camels to go ape by sniffing each others butts, so your camel will start to pull to get a sniff of the one in front, apparantly it messes with their sense of smell. Brilliant ride though and highly recommended
