Magnificent visit by one of the emblematic wineries of the DO. Ribera del Duero. Not too differs from any other Winery, beyond the old Winery as hallmark. Who taught made the visit quite enjoyable. Taking into account that it is free, it is a great option for those who do not know the area and intends to visit a couple of wineries. In addition, the end is tasting the fisheries rearing and cheese from another of its wineries.

Through the website I understood that it is convenient to make a telephone reservation for a tour of the wine cellars (bodegas). Imagine my surprise when I greeted by a friendly Lady in the Dutch word. An hour later we can go for a tour of the Dutch by Lisanne. We are extensively informed about the different wines of Don Alejandro Fernandez and the various brands of the House, if there all of a sudden the "Gran Jefe" himself passes by shuffling. The 84 year old extremely young does every day a round through the case that his life's work. As a great lover of Ribera wines we enjoy the guided tour of the old grapes press, the new part where the wine is made and the nowadays huge bodegas where the wines of several years in oak barrels are to mature. It smells delicious! Finally we taste a 2012 Tinto Pesquera Reserva and a very special white Alejairen. Finally, a few special wines to bring home from the shop purchased. A very enjoyable and educational experience, not least because of the personal encounter with the legend "Don Alejandro" and the personal attention of Lisanne.

  • Very interesting place. I like the idea of preserving the lagar. The personnel is highly attentive. We were only 8 in the visit, I appreciate that. We tried a 2012 Pesquera Reserva and El Vínculo. We also tried their sheep cheese made with raw milk and natural rennet, it's excellent. It's worth to buy the wine because they sell here all the different wines they produce.
  • On 28 December we made a visit with some friends and our children, it was a very friendly visit and the same Alejandro us accompanied one of his vineyards where made us a tasting in a picnic area, of its property, with a beautiful terrace with a lovely view of the typically Spanish. We went back to the winery where taught us the winery's several centuries old and new winery, explained the processes of wine and another tasting more than white oak barrels, we want to comment on the very good quality of the wines, and the close and personal owner's treatment (Alejandro was very friendly with everyone and very accessible for the important things in the world of the wines of the area that is) do not charge anything for the visit , in a world where economically and as competitive as this, I appreciate very positively this visit the strange thing this is currently happening in the world of the restoration and the wineries.

  • A man Alejandro Fernández who devoted his life to the wine, seconded by his family. This saga is projected to the world the brilliance of its wines and the name of the Ribera del Duero. Visit to their bodgas of Tinto Pesquera and County of Haza, in a pleasant way and family, represents a personal milestone I will never forget. The warmth with which we tried to Alejandro and his family, who are always attentive to visitors, is unforgettable. The impression of being in the cradle of one of the best wines in the world and that its maker, is teaching what you is priceless. If you can not miss it. Then Book table at the restaurant AF of Peñafiel and will be Olympus. The best restaurant is at hotel Alejandro Fernández, as the wine is the best of the Bank
