  • A church very beautiful and unique in Spain. Very well explained in the guided tour, which is the only way to see it. To improve that they do not let you be time extra after the visit. Recommended

  • Church cruziforme, with two apses in header and foot cross and two chapels in the arms, although in reality it has six elements, because there are other two spaces between the header and the footer at different heights. The most remarkable are two entrance door horseshoe arches, perfectly-defined soprtados three marble columns. Inside we find that the cabecerra apse has pronunciation horseshoe-shaped though on the outside it is square. The apse of foot is also horseshoe-shaped, although the bow is more proninciado almost has semicircular form, here was buried San Genadio that remained until the 16th century. To the left of the main door, appears a staircase unprotected acede to the Bell Tower, also can be found a sundial on the facade. The Church has a fenced enclosure and is a jewel worthy of visit.

  • This church is all that remains of what was the Monastery founded by St. Genadio, back in the century X. It is a building with Latin cross plant; its interior is accessed through a door with double Horseshoe arch, supported by three marble columns and has a clear influence Muslim. In its interior you can see remains of the wall paintings that originally covered the entire building. It is a free visit and we miss only a detailed explanation or a brochure that helps understand the gem that we are observing. If you were to Peñalba de Santiago, his visit is essential

  • Beautiful Mozarabic Church, the few that exist in the North of the peninsula. The village is a charming, wood and stone, and in autumn the mountain shows you colors while doing the walk from the village up to the Hermitage of San Genadio.

  • A church Mozarabic, small, but with details worthy of admiring and steeped in history. Worth a climb up to the people to see this work and approach the cave is San Genadio. That shame that the fire that there has been this summer has damaged both the landscape.
