  • Located in beautiful surroundings of Oaks and with a facade that reminds us of the South cover of the Cathedral of Ourense. It is an austere work as befits her style. The Church is a Latin cross, divided into 5 spaces plan. Inside are preserved frescoes. It is worth approaching this place a little away but full of charm.

  • We arrived at the monastery through a hiking route from Parada de Sil. In winter the bare branches of the trees provide views that otherwise would be impossible to contemplate. Therefore, we could see the side and the apses of the Church from the trail. The monastery is dotted with touches that seized: rosette, lobed Arch of the door, the cloister, the capitals, inscriptions on the stone, etc. How good monastery that is located in a remote spot. The environment is dazzling: forests of chestnut trees, the Sil River, framed by magnificent canyons and long, long silence.

  • It is one of those monuments for which it is difficult to say something. You better go and enjoy. The corner of the cloister which is a kind of source is one of the most beautiful corners of the Ribeira Sacra. The views are breathtaking, the forest which surrounds the monastery is charming. A visit very very recommendable.

  • A secluded and beautiful place. Eye to the road, downhill, with curves, a general. A euro to visit the place, with a position of customer service provided with enough publications. It is striking a few examples of polychrome preserved in the Church.
