  • Nourished by the presence of mosaics and frescoes that, incredibly, were moved from other sites and rebuilt beautifully here. Good scheme to assign to each floor of the building the representation of an era, beginning with the prehistoric times to finish in 4 with the 20th century. Friendly and helpful staff. Don't miss the "Retrato del Marqués de San Adrian" Goya and the Ark of ivory produced in Cordoba during the Arab domination. Upon entry, I learned the welcome news that on Sunday admission is free, and even I was able to help free (a student volunteer from the nearby University). The rooms are not air conditioned, in any case there is excessive heat. Don't miss the wide and spacious terrace with a beautiful view on the new part of the city and the nearby, "Palacio de Real Archivo de Navarra".

  • Nice art collection, and it was free to visit after 5 pm when we went. We saw everything in about an hour and a half.  more »
  • We took a guided tour of the most relevant pieces of the Museum and it did not appear the best of Pamplona. If you are with little time, you can delete the route.

  • Great collection of Roman mosaicos and other finds. The lighting of the objects was excellent. Really enjoyed our visit.
  • This museum has a pretty good size collection and I appreciate how it is organized floor by floor through the ages--the Romanesque was probably my favorite with a lot of architectural features like incredibly ornate column capitals from the 11th and 12th centuries. There are also a lot of very interesting and well-preserved mosaic works. I appreciate how much of it relates to the local history with items the cathedral and from Tudela as well. I'll definitely try and visit again. There are also some nice vistas out over that area of Pamplona.
  • Much better than expected; very courteous staff and interesting (if modest) collection. Four floors showing the permanent collection, top (modern) to bottom (pre-Roman). Could use English translations of signs and wall explanations, but for the price (2 euros), not a big deal. And yes, there's a nice Goya.
  • There is a few real treasures. I love romanesque and they have the capitals from the cloister of Pamplona's old cathedral. They are a fantastic work. Some roman mosaics and romanesque frescoes.
  • Museo interesgarria eta gidarekin egitea pena merezi duena. Arrunt azalpen interesgariak! La visita guiada muy interesante.
