Tour · Scenic Railroad
See what travel used to be like by enjoying a scenic ride on Tren De Soller, which has been running its daily train service from the city of Palma, uninterrupted, since 1912. The slow train journey takes visitors across the plains and through citrus groves, winding its way around mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana and through the 13 tunnels, finally ending at the large railway station of the northern town of Soller. This railway was built from the profits of the orange and lemon trade, which boomed at the beginning of the 20th century. For this reason, you may hear the locals call your journey the "Orange Express." Check the timetable and prices on the railway’s official site. With our custom trip planner, Palma de Mallorca attractions like Tren De Soller can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • A perfect way to travel from Palma to Soller town. The journey to Soller took just over an hour as it is quiet slow but the views are fabulous. The train even stops at one high point so people can...  more »

  • Great train 🚂 ride but the fact they don't take credit cards is ridiculous when it costs €32 for a return ticket. Also the tram 🚊 at Soller is not synched to the train arrival.
  • Fantastic train ride very nice scenery but crowded and had to stand though added to the ambiance
  • It was well worth the money (32€). Surely, it offers the experience of a lifetime. Great train!
  • A bit pricey option...€18 , bus is €3 instead...I would recommend to take a bus from Palma to Soller and then from there take a wooden tram which is €7 to get to Puerto de Soller which is beautiful. Anyway it was different experience and nice views along the way.
  • It was a great experience and well worth the money. I can't recommend it enough. If you read reviews talking about how loud it was... well those people are crazy. It wasn't anything you wouldn't expect from an antique train. It certainly wasn't loud enough to have to cover your ears. 🤣😂🤣😂 Some people are so dramatic. One tip... If it's cold weather you can sit above a heater if you choose the last seat in each car. You'll be toastie warm. 😊
