  • Across the Estacio Intermodal and bus, train and Metro station and the road on the opposite side there is Plaza de Espana. EMT bus stop can be found along the road. Square of heavy traffic road, facing too much, was not the impression that the place to take it easy.

  • This is the main square in the city. It's not that is impressive but it's important for a few reasons. 1. It's a transport hub, having a big station with underground, trains and urban and mid distance buses. 2. It's located in a hotspot area. A few of the most famous and beautiful streets in Palma are born around this area.
  • I don't give five stars due there are pickpockets and few trumps as you can imagine in the town centre. It's not dangerous though and also people helps to keep the pickpockets away. Few restaurants and bars, live free shows in season. All the communications are there, public buses, coach station, trains, underground, taxis, therefore can be a nice place to met your friends, family, etc. Public bus to the airport
  • The Neuralgic Center of the city of Palma. A beautiful square crowned with a statue of Jaume I the conqueror. This is where you can pickup busses and trains to all the main towns and villages. A word of caution: there is a risk of pick pockets so be on the look out. Bus queue's favourite spot.
  • It's a central square with lots of eating options as well as the central bus station for intermodal and TIB buses. The train and Metro Station are here too. Nice place for outdoor eating.
  • Next to the Central Station, a very busy part of the city. Take your time and have a coffee and enjoy the view and that what’s happening here.

Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.
