  • Place without funny. With nothing to do. What saves a little is the old building. Do not recommend.

  • We were expecting somewhat bigger, busier square but this was typical old town square. Few market stands around but that is it.  more »
  • a tourist spot to be seen no more. many world and various merchants. All around the place of the "restaurants for tourists" that we could find in other places.

  • Ok market, nice view of the Rambla from one side. Nice area for fiestas and good market at Christmas. Wouldn't recommend eating at any of the restaurants.
  • Fantastic place to sit and watch the world go by. Loved being entertained as I frank my sangria. Watch your bag though!
  • Great city. Lots of shopping both local and international and basic and high end. Lots to eat. As with and major city it's pricey. Lovely architecture.
  • Palma de Mallorca is simply stunning. Lovely people and gorgeous weather. The city is full of ancient passages, historic monuments and magnificent architecture.
  • Some nice architecture in the surrounding buildings but the place is overly packed with restaurants and sellers hawking knock off goods and other junk. There are a few nice booths with local goods and lots of people if you like to people watch but just too crowded with junk for me.

Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.
