Pilar and Joan Miro Foundation in Mallorca is a foundation built to house the work of Joan Miró, located on the island where he spent the last years of his life. Donated by the artist himself before his death, the structure houses an array of paintings and sculptures from his four workshops. Paintings hang from the walls inside the modern building, while sculptures decorate the landscaped garden in the building's courtyard. The foundation also offers a glimpse of the artist's former studios donated to the city of Palma by Pilar Miró, wife of the painter, for public viewing. • The buildings are largely closed ‘for repair’. Be careful not to be misled into buying tickets as there is not much available to see other than the external buildings and one room of art and their workshop. The place felt very depressing and the staff did not want to be there. Not worth the money.
  • Fantastic museum with a sculpture garden and exhibits. Bus accessible from Palma. Don't miss the studio!
  • A must for all art lovers! Great museum with access to the beach. Get some culture before walking down to the beach for some sun.
  • Once and again, a beautiful place to visit. Went in March 2022, unfortunately we couldn't visit the main house since they have been doing reformation work. Though the 2 studios and the garden were open, which is so worth a visit. You can feel Miró's presence.. We paid less entrance fee because of the reformation.
  • Magical place. Recommended also for the kids due to “hand on” feeling and proximity in the workshop
