Beautiful underwater inhabitants in stylish aquariums. Pleasing to the eye and for the nervous system to go and look at this colorful splendor and diversity. Good Aquarium schedule summer at midday, when on the beach and in the heat, and in an aquarium a pleasant coolness. Kids just love it!

One excursion not to be missed going in Palma de Mallorca, is the one at the Aquarium. Large, well developed, organized and with so much personal, Palma was one of our first goals arrived in Palma. A wide variety of fish and attractions, as well as entertainment for the youngest guests, make it a structure. The shark boatpoi, it really is an attraction not to be missed. This is a hike of about 10 minutes, which provides, through a special glass-bottomed boat, to visit a spa with beauty by ben 11 sharks inside! Equipped with all the comforts and facilities (cafeteria and restaurant, bathrooms equipped with changing tables for babies, beautiful boutique and picnic area and playground theme) the Palma Aquarium and an emotion you don't get lost!

We fancied a laid back day, so decided on a trip to the Aqarium. Plenty of diversity with people of all ages enjoying the animals and fish. Animals all looked happy and well looked after, which was gr...  more »

  • A vast and impressive aquarium with multiple zones and loads of stuff to do. Along with the expected aquarium fare of sharks, rays, eels and fish, there is also a jungle zone with a waterfall and a great kids play area with a large pirate ship, bouncy castles, water fountains and a real life Captain Jack Sparrow. Well worth a visit. Also of note are that it's air conditioned inside, so good for either rainy or excessively hot days. There is now also a reasonably priced underground car park to accompany the small aquarium car park, so we did not find parking to be an issue.
  • Was really excited to go here with the family and although fairly expensive, it was worth the trip. There's good food inside and a decent shop for all those little gifts for loved ones at home or things for the kids to do back at the apartment. The aquarium itself takes a few hours to get round and the scope and size of the tanks are amazing. Well worth the visit!!!
  • Absolutely loved it here, beautiful variety of fish to see, loved the tropical rain forest the waterfall was magnificent. Glass bottom boat over the top of one of Europe's deepest shark tanks is a must do. As a family we had so much fun.
  • Great place for family visits, wheelchair accessible, great atmosphere. I especially loved the pillows in front of large exhibitions where you can sit right up to the glass and enjoy the sea creatures in peace.
  • Has two charges: one for 'residents' and another for tourists. Adequate selection of animals but missing some information boards, the indoor children's play area opens weekends and bank holidays only and the food bar/restaurant is mega expensive. On a bright note, free parking in a small nearby car park if you're lucky enough.

Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.
