Visit it is advisable next to the Cathedral of Palma. Environment fantastic and highly recommended to immerse themselves in the culture of the Mallorcan authors, among others.

Well worth spending some time here to watch the very helpful and informative videos and associated animations of the project undertaken by Gaudi to restore the Cathedral, before actually visiting. Als...  more »

Episcopal Museum (Museu Diocesa) is a stone's throw away from the Cathedral, so it can be visited during his walks through the city. 2007 Museum is located in the new Bishop's Palace (Palau Episcopal). The museum related to the history of Christianity on the island are quite diverse and interesting. Tickets-penny ... So that obstacles to visiting the Museum is not detected.

  • Great forgotten Museum of Mallorca, probably because the diocese concentrates all its efforts in the Cathedral. Completely renovated a few years ago. Interesting collection of religious art, of course emphasizing the Sant Jordi de Pere Niçard. Today it houses an exhibition which value the troubled intervention of Gaudí in la Seu and the Campins bisbe-sponsored. Another strangely ignored aspect of our artistico-religiosa history. As a curiosity, if observed the maritime facade of the Museum from the walls in the area of calle Miramar, appreciates the modernist lattice of a window of the Museum, made during the stay of Gaudí in the island.

Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.
