Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.

  • This is a typical Spanish indoor market as can be found in any Spanish city. You can buy whatever eatable: pastries, fruits, veggies, fish, meat etc. In this area many other restaurants can be found.  more »
  • A small market in the center of Palma. Authentic food shops offering great quality - fresh from the fields and the sea. Shopping food there makes you happy snd excites you too cook straight away.  more »

  • Great little spot. Cute. nice reprieve from the hot weather. Tasty snacks.
  • A traditional market with open stalls. You can buy anything to eat here, it's all fresh and the people are very friendly. Buy some fresh fish and then go to any of the bars and they will cook it for you. A delicious experience in a different stile.
  • Really nice to hang out and have tapas and wine. Proces are high and its quite touristic. If you want a real dive less glamorous trt Pere Garau
  • Great selection of fresh foods and flowers. Fantastic place to also grab a bite to eat or if you want to taste some local wine or cheese.
  • Great selection of Spanish tapas, meats, cheeses and general local fruit and vegetables.
