Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.

  • Wonderful sixties church with amazing stained glass. The architecture is very "sixties" and somewhat plain but more than made up for by the glass.  more »

  • A flagship Church within the Mallorcan landscape. Run by the Franciscans Tor. Round, with a dome in the center of the Church and the walls completely surrounded by windows that recall the passages of Scripture, it is one of the most visited. It owes its name to the reminder of the first House of St. Francis of Assisi

  • We liked very much and also the Museum

  • A wonderful facility and a beautiful church. Admission 5 euros for an adult - in my opinion - is worth its money. Next to the Church, can be seen even a Museum and has even entry into other facilities in Mallorca (E.g. monastery of Lluc). An oasis of calm. And the a few meters from the shooter. More contrast program goes not :-)
