  • Palma de Mallorca "but is the Church into the old categories. The fourth oldest in the city in the person's story. The contrast between facades of Gothic church architecture of the 17th century and the Baroque-style interior design throughout the building is very unique.

  • Together with Santa Eulàlia, Santa Creu and Sant Jaume, the Church of Sant Miquel (Saint Michael) belongs to one of the four oldest parishes in Las Palmas. She is dedicated to the confessor of King Jaime I the Conqueror, the patron saint of Miquel de Fabra. It is believed, that the parish is located in the place, where a large mosque in the city was in the time of Islamization of the island, in the Moorish epoch "Medina Mayurqa" was called. In Roman times, a temple here had likely and after the Christianization of a Christian sanctuary. At that time, the city was not Palma. The Roman capital of Palma was entirely somewhere else. ;-) Only the façade with the image of Saint Michael and the church tower with a square plan have been preserved of the former Gothic church. The Church was in the 17th century. Century rebuilt in the Baroque style.

  • Always, always, let's Palm do not stop to visit this church, if it is in August and coincides with the 15 day, let's see the Dormition of the Virgin and if not, will also visit the Virgin of health, to which I have much devotion and affection. It is not a simple church or parish, know that it is a Basilica and that well visit and honor the Virgin is worth
